Anonymous INQUIRED - i don't know if you take suggestions or not, but i was wondering if you'd consider making a grid style layout sometime? preferably one with a lot of columns. there's a serious lack of good ones and if anybody could make a really amazing one it would be you!

I do and I am! (You reading my mind anon?) I have some ideas in mind, one is actually for the Leonard Shelby revamp lol. 

I dunno if I did a lot of columns though aka more then 2 or 3 just because then the width has to be smaller so it makes posts longer or even harder to see. So :/ if you meant more than 3 columns but there are definitely some already out there that are amazing. 

I’m not the hugest fan of grid layouts only because I’m a slave to uniformity and it would bother me if the posts in the grid layout weren’t all the same height, but it’s something I’m getting over. (For some reason I’m ok with it if it’s just one column of posts. IDEK.)

But I’ve seen a lot of great grid layouts out there lately and they’re really inspiring me so… in due time I promise! <3

captive INQUIRED - How can I fix #13 so that the post doesn't expand to show the source, since the source is already shown in the notes section? If you need an example, see my most recent post. I already tried the "show photo captions" option, but I don't want that part to appear at all. I've also tried editing the posts it does that on, but to no avail. Any help would be very much appreciated!

This isn’t really part of the theme if you mean where it says

This is a tumblr thing and the only way to “hide” it is to not show photo captions. And sometimes isn’t even included in that. All this usually depends on how people source their photos and photosets. Mainly if people put their url as the content source. It’ll show up like that and there’s no way to hide it, that I know of. :/

Tumblr has taken over the “/themes” URL.

I’m not sure if others have noticed but it now seems Tumblr has taken over the “/themes” URL on blogs. So for theme makers who have a page URL named “/themes” - for example: http://www.tumblrusername.com/themes - it will automatically redirect to the Tumblr Themes Page. This is obviously quite annoying because many people do this on their personal blogs, not to mention it’s now messed up the masterlist which I only just updated… but I just wanted to let people know that if you’re redirected to the main theme page not to think panic. The theme maker most likely has not closed their account so just go to their main page instead.

This doesn’t apply to my page but just letting people know!

It’s mainly coding. I created two sections basically, said overflow: hidden so there’s no scroll bar - and the whole “swooshing scroll” effect is just the smooth scroll script.

@Anon1: Did you make sure to go through all of the steps here? He explains it pretty clearly so if you have, and it still doesn’t work then… I’m sorry I just don’t really want to deal with that kind of stuff.

@Anon2: Did you make sure to install the theme > reset to default > then edit, cause you might have the options stuck on not showing it if you had an old theme of mine or another theme that has an option like it.

@Anon3: ha ha I hope you don’t mean the one I have now cause I feel like I’m misleading cause that’s not it. But I’ve been out of town since Weds so when I get back I hope to do some serious coding but I’m just trying to relax (obvs not enough cause I’m still answering questions lol) <3 Hope you’ll still be excited for the one I am going to make <3

Anonymous INQUIRED - Do you plan on releasing themes with readability in mind? Light grey/medium grey font color on a light/white background in addition to tiny font sizes make it incredibly difficult to read. I am intermediate with regard to HMTL/CSS so I know how to edit such things but I would absolutely love it if you released some themes with normal and large font sizes with good readability and typography in mind. Your themes are fantastic, thanks for sharing them.

Hi (: Thanks for the input. I haven’t really got any complaints about the theme font except for you. I’m not sure what theme you’re talking about, but if you’re talking about this one I’m not sure what you mean…? I’ve tested it on two computers and the font color on here is #454545 which provides enough contrast against the #fff background color…

Also none of the font sizes or colors on all the themes available to the public except for 2-5 allow for people to customize their font color, background color, and font size them selves in the appearance tab. So if they can’t read it they are able to change it themselves.

I have sensitive eyesight myself so I don’t publish it if I can’t read it but I’m not sure what it looks like on macs as I’m use to calibri and really love that font so maybe that could be it. I’ve seen other themes that have really pale font on light backgrounds and I can’t read them … so I guess I’m slightly confused cause I don’t consider my themes to be like that… but thanks for bringing that to my attention. If other people are having trouble I hope they mention it like you - but you are definitely the first.
